Our Bespoke Process

Off-the-rack suits are mass-produced in standard sizes. Made-to-measure (MTM) starts with a standard pattern which is then adjusted to your measurements. Bespoke is the pinnacle; we create a unique pattern from scratch just for you, offering unlimited customization and the most precise fit possible. At Zaheer & Sons, we specialize in a true bespoke experience.

Your first visit is a detailed consultation. We'll discuss your needs, personal style, and the occasion for the suit. We will then guide you through our extensive fabric selections and take over 30 precise body measurements. It's a collaborative and enjoyable process designed to create your perfect garment.

Pricing & Timelines

Our custom 2-piece suits start at ₹15,000. The final price depends on the fabric you choose and the complexity of the design. For example, premium Italian wools or intricate handwork will increase the cost. We offer a wide range of options to suit various budgets and are happy to provide a detailed quote during your consultation.

The bespoke process typically takes between 3 to 5 weeks from the initial consultation to the final fitting. This timeline allows for meticulous craftsmanship and at least one intermediate fitting to perfect the garment. For weddings or special events, we recommend starting the process at least 2-3 months in advance.

Suit Fit & Style

This is the most critical part of the fit. The shoulder seam of the jacket should end exactly where your natural shoulder ends. There should be no "divot" or "rumple" below the seam, and the shoulder pad should not extend past your shoulder bone. It should lie flat and create a clean, sharp silhouette.

A suit jacket is made with a matching pair of trousers from the exact same fabric. A blazer is a standalone jacket designed to be worn with trousers of a different color or material (like chinos or jeans). Blazers often have a more relaxed structure and details like patch pockets or contrasting buttons.

Weddings & Special Occasions

We recommend starting the process 3 to 4 months before the wedding date. This provides ample time for detailed consultations, fabric sourcing, multiple fittings, and any final adjustments without any stress. This is especially important for highly customized sherwanis or tuxedos.

Garment Care & Alterations

As infrequently as possible! The chemicals in dry cleaning can be harsh on natural fibers. Only dry clean your suit when it is visibly dirty or has an odor. For regular maintenance, simply spot clean minor stains, and steam the garment to remove wrinkles and refresh the fabric. A good quality suit brush can also do wonders.

Yes, we provide expert alteration services in our Mohali workshop for high-quality garments, even if they were not made by us.
